AgriFuture is a European cooperation project that aims to equip vocational education and training (VET) learners, young farmers, agricultural entrepreneurs, and trainers with the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to navigate the transition towards more sustainable, resilient, and regenerative agricultural systems.
The project brings together partners from Austria, Hungary, Norway, Spain, and Türkiye to co-create innovative learning pathways that combine practical experience, digital learning, international mobility, and collaboration between education providers and agricultural stakeholders.
Through the development of a competency-based curriculum, Living Labs, transnational learning experiences, and a multilingual digital learning platform, AgriFuture seeks to strengthen the capacity of future agricultural professionals to respond to environmental, economic, and social challenges while contributing to the long-term sustainability of rural communities.
Why AgriFuture?
European agriculture is facing major environmental, social and economic transformations.
Climate change, soil degradation, biodiversity loss, water scarcity and digital transformation are changing the skills required from future agricultural professionals.
At the same time, vocational education often struggles to provide practical, future-oriented and interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
AgriFuture aims to bridge this gap by developing innovative educational pathways that connect knowledge, practice and real-world implementation.

The Challenge
European agriculture faces a series of interconnected challenges that demand new skills, innovative approaches and stronger links between education and practice.
AgriFuture seeks to equip learners, trainers and agricultural professionals with the competences needed to address these challenges and contribute to more sustainable and resilient agricultural systems.
Our Learning Approach
AgriFuture combines research, practical experimentation and digital learning to create innovative educational pathways for the future of agriculture.
The project follows an integrated approach that connects:
By combining these elements, AgriFuture seeks to bridge the gap between theory and practice and support the transition towards more regenerative and resilient agricultural systems.

Project Roadmap (March 2026 – February 2028)
AgriFuture is being developed through an Erasmus+ cooperation project that will progressively build educational resources, practical learning experiences and digital tools for future agricultural professionals.
Beyond the Project
AgriFuture is designed not only as a two-year Erasmus+ project, but as the starting point of a long-term learning ecosystem.
The project aims to leave a lasting legacy by providing methodologies, educational resources and digital tools that remain accessible to learners, trainers, farmers and agricultural stakeholders beyond the project lifetime.
By strengthening collaboration between education and practice, AgriFuture seeks to contribute to a growing European community committed to regenerative, innovative and resilient agricultural systems.

Project Structure
AgriFuture is organised through six interconnected areas of work that collectively support the development, implementation and long-term sustainability of the project:
Together, these areas ensure that the project moves from research and curriculum design to practical implementation, digital delivery and long-term impact.
